What this movie does to me cannot be explained. I must have been 7 years old the first time I watched this and cried my heart out when Mufasa died. 12 years later, I still cry when I watch this movie. The story is something that everyone can relate to. Simba is destined to become king one day and just can't wait to rule the throne; everyone can relate to wanting to grow up and become an adult, to do whatever they want and not have to worry about anything. His father tries to teach him that, despite the fact that he will one day be a king, his life will not be easy. Simba has to learn his lesson the hard way when his Uncle Scar kills his father and convinces Simba that it was his fault. Suddenly, growing up doesn't seem so great anymore. Sigh, there is so much more I want to say about this movie but it all comes down to one thing: this movie is a timeless masterpiece. Anyways, spamming with the whole movie was a little too ambitious for me so I just capped my favorite scenes (which turned out to be almost the whole movie anyway). So, on to the NOT DIAL-UP FRIENDLY picspam. :)

Hi, lovelies. It's that time of the year again. Yep, it's Felicity Huffman's birthday and me being the ~~complete creep~~ devoted fan that I am, I made the obligatory Flicka birfday spam post. I tried to change things up a bit, I tried being creatve but I think I failed. I mean, how many Flicka picspams can I possibly make? Clearly, not enough. (I know, another picspam on my livejournal. Go ahead, sue me.) This time, it is solely dedicated to not only Felicity but also to her Transamerica days. This movie is the reason why I love and will always love Felicity Kendall Huffman. Fandoms come and go but she will be my #1 gal forever. This movie did not only make me respect Flicka but it changed my perspective of life for the better. Cheesy as fuck but true. (Ps. Raise your hand if you still hate Reese Witherspoon? I don't even care how immature I sound but that bitch should have knocked on Flicka's door the following day and leave FELCITY'S OSCAR along with a basket of bagels and muffins. Just saying.) This was the first Madonna song I heard and I instantly fell in love with her. I must have been only 4 or 5. As I see clips of me vogueing to the beat of this song it is pretty clear I was destined to become a Madonna fan. My absolute favorite Vogue performance is the Sticky & Sweet Tour one, I was freaking there! Anyways, let's go back in time, shall we? Done for the current picspammy challenge: something different. Well, new fandom alert! There was a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show last night and I decided to check it out and see what all the fuzz was about. This movie is so ridiculous that I just freaking love it. I had no idea it would be this much fun. Before going in they gave us bags with rice, a toast, whistles, a little hat, etc. IT WAS INSANELY FUN. Now, I am all over the web reading stuff about this epicness of a film. Anyways, I wanted to picspam "The Time Warp" (my favorite part) BUT Dr. Frank-N-Furter is pretty much the fiercest thing on this world during "Sweet Transvestite". I know I promised to picspam 2.02 but no worries, I will soon. I decided to go with this one first because Dana's situation is pretty rough and Felicity acts it so well. Also, William H. Macy is the HMFIC here. And how can I forget the adorable Dana/Dan AND Dana/Casey moments. Sigh, I will never get over the brilliance of this show. Never. Flicka: (Interrupting) "Oh my God, I kissed, I kissed Doug Savant, that's all I did. Bill is naked with Maria Bello who's like 10 years younger than me and stunning..."
Bill: "You didn't kiss Doug Savant..."
Flicka: "Shut up! And like 10 pounds lighter than me..."
Bill: "You did surgery on his mouth!"
Flicka: "Bill's running around naked, she's like, got her hands on Young Will and the twins, it's unbelieveable!"

Interviewer: Was it love at first sight?
Bill: "No. First of all, we didn't get together for a couple of years. And then we did get together for a while, and then we split up for a while. And then we got back together out here--"

Bill (The first day, she stood up to do a scene, and he just knew): "It's daunting when you see someone who you've always had in the back of your mind."

Flicka: "Bill was starting a new era in his life. He bought a house here and I think the real thing was a mutual friend of ours in London died suddenly, a wonderful man who was the editor of GQ in London. He died suddenly and it was so shocking to both of us. It was one of those experiences where you go, 'Jeez, what am I doing with my life? Am I wasting my life? What do I want to do and who do I want to be with?' We both turned to each other and said, 'I want to be with you.' And that sort of woke us up."

Bill: "I've known Felicity for a long, long time. We were together for about six years, then we split up for about six years. Yeah, a mutual friend of ours died very tragically in his 30s, but, yes, it sounds very scary. I heard a voice saying, "Call her up, you idiot. Call her up and ask her if she is going to go to the funeral," and I did. It was in England, and I took one look at her, and that was that. Three months later, I said, "Get a dress, because I'm going to marry you."

Jay Leno: "How was your mother's day?"
Flicka (after not seeing Bill for 2 months): "... I got to see the man who's responsible for me being a mother on mother's day."
Jay Leno: "Wow, it sounds like you almost made another mother."
Flicka: "Yeah, maybe so, that's how we spent the weekend."

Bill: "Felicity, she's a smart broad. She's got a moral compass that I reply upon and I guess kudos to her."
Interviewer: "And of course, it doesn't hurt that she looks like this!" (Holds up Vanity Fair shot of a very sexy Flicka by the pool)
Bill: "Wow, yeah! Thank you, Jesus!"
Interviewer: "Is this the first time you've seen this?"
Bill: "For a guy my age? No, I've seen this before. She's hot."

Flicka: "I’ve used up all my chips, so you know next life I’ll come back as a worm, and I’ll say why a worm and they will go: umm you got Bill Macy last life so you will be a worm in this one."

Interviewer: "Last time I saw the two of you, you could not keep your hands off each other, you were on the dance floor," (Flicka grins and kisses Bill) "Is it still hot?"
Bill: "Oh, yeah!"
Interviewer: "You remember, you didn't think I would bring it up! It's still hot isn't it!"

I don't know about you guys but I think the 80's were beautiful so I was ecstatic when I saw this week's the_friday_spam prompt: The 80's. SADLY, I'm a 90's kid that would do anything to have been born in the early 70's to have experienced the 80's in my teen years. Yes, that's how much I love it. I love the clothes, the music, the artists that came from that era. Pop music/culture at its prime, if you ask me. And because I'm always in a Madonna mood, it's yet another Madge picspam on here. I have to mention that yesterday was such a great day to be a Madonna fan and I know it's just ridiculous how many Madonna spams I've made and I would totally stop with them except that I don't really want to because this woman owns my life. Done for the current picspammy challenge. I felt the need to do my own little tribute to this man. I absolutely love this song because the lyrics speak the truth. I decided to picspam the "Brazil" version and I hope everyone enjoys and remembers what a truly remarkable artist he was.
